(Tulsa-AP) -- Two people who were charged last month with vandalizing a Tulsa church have been sentenced to four years probation. They also must pay restitution, perform community service and undergo sensitivity training.
Both 20-year-old Jonathan Christopher Ward and 24-year-old Katrina Louise Knox pleaded guilty yesterday to second-degree burglary and injuring a house of worship. They were released from custody after a month in jail. A third defendant -- 21-year-old Eric Lee Kidwell -- is still facing the charges. He is free on bail.
Police called to the church on January 15th reported racial and religious slurs and sexually explicit language written on walls. Reports say floors and Bibles had been defecated and urinated on.
