(Corpus Christi, Texas-AP) -- Snake hunters are busy in Texas.
A tenant left an eight-foot python behind when he moved out of an apartment complex in Corpus Christi.
Managers are trying to figure out how to capture the reptile, which has been slithering around an attic for a few weeks.
Authorities aren't sure whether the snake was lost or set free by the tenant.
Pythons aren't venomous but can wrap themselves around a victim and squeeze it to death.
So far, one pet ferret is missing.
