Drug charges filed against former school administrator

(Claremore-AP) -- Felony drug charges have been leveled at former Claremore school official Margaret Ledbetter. She was charged yesterday after an undercover investigation involving distribution of controlled drugs.

The 47-year-old Ledbetter resigned last week as director of special services for the district. She is scheduled to return to court February 22nd. She is accused of delivering a controlled and dangerous substance within one-thousand feet of a school and three other counts.

Ledbetter allegedly distributed Lortab and other controlled drugs to undercover officers and arranging to have them steal a car so she could collect insurance money. Police say more arrests could follow.
