(Wichita-AP) -- Koch Industries' new Internet group is designed to put it ahead of the e-commerce pack in its core businesses, including commodities trading and energy.

The company says emerging technologies are the key to its growth. And president Joe Moeller says Koch needs to take more
advantage of the Internet, develop new products and technologies.

The company's Internet Business Strategies group will work closely with other Koch Industries units. It has a staff of three to five people.

Moeller says Koch also is forming a Web consulting business.
