(Kansas City, Missouri-AP) -- Kansas City Chiefs kick returner Tamarick Vanover and recently retired running back Bam Morris have been linked to a federal drug investigation, according to federal court affidavits. An F-B-I spokesman says neither man has been charged. An affidavit naming Vanover and Morris was obtained today by W-H-B radio and supplied to The Associated Press. It was filed in federal court last week in connection with the case of Greg Burns, who was charged last week with conspiracy to distribute marijuana and cocaine in the Kansas City area. Burns is described in the afficdavit as Vanover's personal assistant. Morris twice was suspended by the N-F-L for substance abuse. He also spent 89 days in a Texas prison for violating terms of the probation from a 1996 guilty plea of marijuana possession. The affidavit says Vanover's house had been under surveillance since April.
