TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- A 29-year-old man offered no resistance Friday during his arrest in connection with a fatal Broken Arrow stabbing.
Tulsa police took Jeffrey Phillip Lacy of Jenks into custody around 10 a.m. on a first-degree manslaughter warrant. He had been sought in the Jan. 17 stabbing of Joseph Edward Williams, 39, who was found dead at his estranged wife's home.
Broken Arrow Police investigators interviewed Lacy on Friday. They said they had not recovered the weapon used in the slaying.
At the time of his death, Williams was serving an 18-month probation for assault on a police officer, records showed. His estranged wife, Linda Williams, had a protective order against him and police had been called to several incidents throughout the past several months involving the two.
