(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Kerr-McGee is reporting strong earnings for 1999. Kerr-McGee says net income last year was $142 million dollars compared with a net loss of $68 million dollars in 1998.
Fourth-quarter income from continuing operations before special charges was $130 million dollars. That compares with a net loss of $21 million dollars in the fourth quarter of 1998. All 1998 amounts have been restated to reflect the merger with Oryx Energy Company in February 1999.
