(Stillwater-AP) -- Oklahoma State football coach Bob Simmons has suspended backup quarterback B-J Tiger indefinitely following Tiger's arrest for marijuana possession. Tiger is scheduled to be in court today after being arrested for possession of marijuana. A tip about stolen compact discs led university police to Tiger's dormitory room yesterday where they found a collection of 150 C-Ds.
Tiger allegedly grabbed a lock box and bolted from the room while the police were there. The police report says Tiger was apprehended after a foot pursuit and police found about three-quarters of a pound of marijuana in the lock box. Tiger started five games in 1999 in place of injured Tony Lindsay.
Tiger threw for 785 yards and six touchdowns and ran fo r259 yards and two touchdowns. Tiger pleaded guilty to stealing a pistol from a pawn shop in 1998. He also pleaded guilty to stealing about 110 dollars in audio-video equipment from Wal-Mart in December 1997.
