(Los Angeles-AP) -- Convicted cyberspace bandit Kevin Mitnick wants to go on to study computer technology after his release from
a California prison tomorrow.

But that might be tough under probation rules that bar him from touching computers for the next three years. The restrictions are
designed to keep Mitnick from hacking again.

His attorney says he'll try to persuade probation officials to let Mitnick use computers for college level studies.

Mitnick was accused of causing (m) millions of dollars of damage by hacking into the computers of companies such as Motorola, Novell and Sun Microsystems.

He's been in prison for five years.
