(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A new Oklahoma golf course is getting rave reviews from a golf industry publication. Golf week Superintendent News Magazine names Chickasaw Pointe Golf Resort as the Tenth-best municipal golf course in the country. It listed Chickasaw Point among its top 30 courses, private and public.
The course opened only four months ago and is located in Lake Texoma Resort Park on Oklahoma 70. State tourism director Jane Jayroe says the selection is a "tremendous honor" for Oklahoma. Bethpage State Park's Black Course in Farmingdale, New York, was picked the Number One public course. It was opened in 1935.
