(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Oklahoma City's new Arena Football League franchise has a name: the Wranglers. The Wranglers is expected to be the new name of the old Portland Forest Dragons, which relocated to Oklahoma City about two months ago.

The new team logo is expected to be revealed later. Coach Bob Cortese says he's been trying to attract players to the Wranglers' tryouts on January 23rd at the World Class Sports Complex in Oklahoma City. Several roster spots must be filled before the team's March 25th exhibition opener.

The name Wranglers isn't new to Oklahoma City sports fans. Oklahoma City had a semi-pro football team that used the name in the 1970s.
