FBI Search for Missing Welch Girls Goes National

Editor's Note: To aid in the search for the two Welch girls, Belo Interactive has posted the girls' photos and descriptions on all 40 Belo websites.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has widened their search for the two missing Welch, Oklahoma girls. A national search is now underway for 16-year-old Lauria Bible and 16-year-old Ashley Freeman. The state medical examinerâ€™s report says 40-year-old Danny Freeman and his 38-year-old wife, Kathy died of gunshot wounds, not flames or smoke in a mobile home fire. Authorities fear that the girls were abducted since the Freemans' vehicles and Bible's car as well as her purse were still at the Freeman residence.

Ashley Freeman is described as five feet-six inches tall and weighing 120 pounds with blue eyes and blond hair. Freeman may have last been wearing a t-shirt, blue jeans, a baseball cap, white tennis shoes, and a windbreaker.

Miss Bible is described as five-three and weighing 135 pounds with green eyes and brown hair. Bible may have last been wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, and either white tennis shoes or black boots. She was also wearing silver earrings in the shape of a heart with a diamond on them.
