SHAWNEE, Okla. (AP) -- A first-degree murder complaint is pending against a 19-year-old Okmulgee man suspected in the weekend death of a woman whose body was set on fire after she was stabbed. Kathy Lee Harjo, 39, was found dead Sunday morning by her husband, who was returning home from work.
Ronald Harjo found the front door open and the apartment filled with smoke. His wife's body was on fire in the couple's bedroom. The state medical examiner's office said Mrs. Harjo died of multiple stab wounds with a kitchen knife. Mark Solomon Wolfe, 19, surrendered to police Monday morning, said police spokesman Lt. Conny Clay. Clay said Wolfe was friends with Mrs. Harjo's son. In addition to the murder complaint, Wolfe was being held on complaints of attempted rape and first-degree arson.
