The Tulsa University women's basketball team is recovering from quite an ordeal.

The bus transporting the Lady Hurricane to a game caught fire earlier this afternoon near Mulvane, Kansas, about 15 miles south of Wichita.

A spokesman in the T-U sports office said the driver got everyone and all the equipment off the bus after noticing flames near the right rear tire.

The players reportedly watched the bus burn before their eyes.

But no one was injured.

Team members were taken to their hotel by taxis and emergency vehicles that responded to the scene.

The game with the Lady Shockers of Wichita State is scheduled to be played Saturday.
