(Tulsa-AP) -- A Jenks middle school teacher is accused of making lewd proposals to a 14-year-old student.
James C. Williams is the cross country coach at Jenks East Middle School. The 51-year-old teacher was arrested on complaints of making lewd proposals to a minor, possession of pornography and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tulsa police Officer Lucky Lamons says Williams allegedly made a phone call to the 14-year-old late in the evening in March.
Williams allegedly talked about having a sexual relationship with her.
Police say they found pornography and apparent drug paraphernalia after serving a search warrant at Williams' home. They also say they found letters allegedly written by the girl that expressed a mutual attraction.
Williams' bail was set at 27-thousand dollars.
