(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The last of the remains of Oklahoma City bombing victims could find a final resting place at the state capitol by the end of the year. The Oklahoma City zoning board will meet tomorrow to approve the plan.
Relatives of the victims want to have the small, unidentified body fragments buried in a tree grove donated four years ago by Iowans.
Their first choice was the bombing memorial -- on the site where the Murrah Federal Building stood before the 1995 bombing. But National Park Service rules prohibit the remains from being buried there, so state officials and the victims' families agreed on the state capitol site.
The remains will be buried at the top of a horseshoe formed by bricks engraved with the names of the 168 bombing victims.
