Charlotte won the battle of the boards and the bench in posting a 104-to-99 win over Dallas. The Hornets grabbed a season-high 60 rebounds, with Derrick Coleman leading the way with 18. The Hornets' reserves outscored the Dallas bench 47-to-27.
Eddie Jones hit for 24 points and Coleman added 21 as the Hornets moved to 5-and-0 at home.
The Mavericks shot just 17 percent in the second quarter and fell for the fourth time in five road games. Robert Pack fueled the Mavericks' attack with 27 points and 14 assists.
