The cockpit voice recorder from EgyptAir Flight 990 is now on its way to a laboratory near Washington.

A Navy robot recovered the device last night. It was loaded onto a Navy helicopter this morning at Newport, Rhode Island, to be ferried to Andrews Air Force Base outside Washington.

Investigators say hope the 30-minute tape hasn't been damaged by two weeks underwater.

The head of the National Transportation Safety Board told NBC today he's hoping to have some answers in the next two or three days.

Meanwhile, the FBI now has 250 agents working on the crash. But a special agent told NBC that there's no sign of any criminal involvement so far.
