Halloween is almost here and safety is on most parents’ minds. Thousands of people a day are visiting the Tulsa Police Department’s new sex offender web site. The site can help parents avoid certain houses during Halloween. In June, the department’s sex crimes unit began placing registered sex offenders' names and addresses on the Internet. Since then, more than 100 offenders have moved out of the city. "I think it's comforting,†said Tulsa police sergeant Pat Calhoun. “Especially, if you have kids playing on your block. You can find out if a sex offender lives on your street and tell the kids to stay away from this person."
