Jury Convicts Woman Who Made Daughter Sick.

A Florida jury has convicted a woman of aggravated child abuse and fraud. Prosecutors had accused Kathy Bush of deliberately causing illnesses in her daughter, causing her to go through years of painful treatments.
The jury in Fort Lauderdale took eight hours to find Bush guilty. The 42-year-old woman burst into tears as the verdict was read. Sentencing is set for next month.
Prosecutors told jurors that Bush caused illnesses in her now 12-year-old daughter Jennifer in an attempt to gain attention for
herself, a rare condition therapists call Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy.
The defense told the jury that Jennifer was mistreated by the medical profession.
