STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- Oklahoma State quarterback Tony Lindsay
will be out of the lineup at least four weeks due to a knee injury
suffered in the season opener, the school announced Tuesday.

Lindsay suffered a torn medial collateral ligament in his left
knee, head trainer Terry Noonan said. In addition, the anterior
cruciate ligament was stretched.

For now, the injury will be treated without surgery. The knee
will be placed in a brace and evaluated again in four weeks. The
school said Lindsay also may seek a second medical opinion.

Lindsay, who is in his third year as the starting quarterback,
got hit while throwing a pass in the second quarter of Oklahoma
State's 24-7 victory over Louisiana-Lafayette.

Coach Bob Simmons said he plans to use two quarterbacks this
week when the Cowboys play host to Tulsa. Third-year sophomore B.J.
Tiger will get the start, followed by freshman Ben Bowling.

Tiger was 6-of-13 passing for 109 yards against
Louisiana-Lafayette, including a 63-yard touchdown. Bowling was
2-of-3 for 19 yards and an interception.
