Hazardous Tulsa street blamed for Sunday traffic accident

A church group that was on its way home to Drumright has a warning about a dangerous Tulsa road. <br/><br/>The 71st Street exit on US highway 75 is closed for repairs; so many drivers are using 61st Street.

A church group that was on its way home to Drumright has a warning about a dangerous Tulsa road.

The 71st Street exit on US highway 75 is closed for repairs; so many drivers are using 61st Street. The church group also got on the narrow winding road. They say the tires slipped off the high, sharp edge of the roadway and the van rolled into a deep ravine.

The pastor says all he could think about was the children on board. Pastor Michael Howard: "It's a good reminder that we could have, we could have all been killed."

None of the children were seriously injured. A Tulsa fire truck had the same sort of accident there earlier this month.

The church members say there needs to be a warning sign at the spot.
