Survivors of the 1921 Tulsa race riot, who want compensation from the city and state, took their case to the US Supreme Court Wednesday.

Lower courts dismissed their lawsuit saying the statute of limitations ran out years ago.

Attorneys for the 150 survivors say their clients didn't know the role they say the city and state played in the deadly riot until just four years ago.
