OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Governor Brad Henry's prescription drug plan Thursday passed the state Senate on unanimous votes.
One bill allows pharmacies in the state to buy cheaper drugs from Canada and other industrialized countries and creates a Web site to allow residents to buy the cheaper drugs. A second bill creates what the governor calls a "Smart Card" to help residents find discounts offered by pharmacies and drug companies.
Both bills passed the state Senate on a 45-to-0 vote and now go to the state House for consideration.
