An investigation is underway into an early Thursday morning traffic accident.

It happened on I-44 at 161st East Avenue. Authorities say the van overturned in the median while eastbound on the Interstate. When emergency crews arrived, they found no one inside.

Witnesses say 12 to 15 people ran from the van after the accident.

The van is registered in Texas.
