LAWTON, Okla. (AP) _ A secret Lawton police report shows the secretary of an appeals judge had the judge's driver's license, his credit card and a substance thought to be methamphetamine when she was arrested in December.
The secretary -- Dawn Lukasik -- was arrested about 2 AM on December 16th on suspicion of drug possession, but was never charged. A convicted felon was in the back seat.
The circumstances of the arrest are part of an ongoing probe of Judge Steve Lile[pictured] of the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals. Lile last week removed himself from participating in any pending cases until further notice.
The secret report shows Lukasik was released from the Lawton city jail later after police called Lile, who in turn contacted Comanche County District Attorney Robert Schulte. Police say Schulte arranged the release.
Attorney General Drew Edmondson's office is conducting an investigation of Lile. Among the key accusations is that Lile misused state funds.
