Tulsa Police standoff ends with the arrest of a suspect

The Tulsa Police Departmentâ€™s special operations team was able to end a nearly two hour stand-off peacefully Friday morning.

Police say the stand-off began after a female accused the man of assaulting her in an apartment near 36th & Harvard. Tulsa Police then discovered the man was in a car across the street and found a note indicating he would kill himself.

Finally, the special operations team moved in and pulled the man from the car unharmed. They say he was not armed.

Jerry Rector[pictured] was arrested on charges of sexual assault and past traffic warrants.
