The Tulsa city council investigator looking into airport operations has resigned.

Wilson Busby was hired by the council to examine the startup of Great Plains Airlines. He turned in a resignation Thursday night after questions about unproven connections between him and the effort to recall a couple of councilors.

The council decided to delay action on the airport investigation - and asked Busby to stay on, for a couple of weeks.
