The strawberry is one step closer to becoming Oklahoma's state fruit.
It all started with a fifth-grade class in Skiatook. They did some research and then held a school vote to pick the strawberry as the state's official fruit.
They even got a state House member from Pawhuska to support their bill. Well, the state House overwhelmingly passed the bill, 96-to-1.
It now moves on to the state Senate.
