OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ General Motors will end production of the Envoy XUV, a sport utility vehicle made only at the GM plant in Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoman reports production of the XUV will end March 31st.

GM spokesman Rick Asher says the decision will not affect the 2,200 jobs at the plant because the Envoy XUV will be replaced by the Envoy Denali. Workers began assembling the Denali at the plant this week.

Production of the Envoy XUV began in Oklahoma City a year-and-a-half ago, but industry officials say sales have been only one-tenth of what was expected.
