Work is under way to renovate and repair the Alfred P- Murrah Federal Building Plaza in downtown Oklahoma City in time for the tenth anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing.
Stan McCourry with the US General Services Administration says several damaged steps at both entrances to the plaza are being repaired. He says damage caused by weather is causing the steps to become unstable and crumble.
The plaza is on top of an underground parking garage that served the Murrah Building and included a playground before the bombing. It overlooks the Oklahoma City National Memorial.
McCourry says his goal is to complete the work before April 19th, the tenth anniversary of the bombing.
