An Oklahoma rancher is under investigation. It comes after more than 40 dead cattle were found on his property.

49 year-old Muskogee rancher Joseph Flusche surrendered to authorities after the animals were found on his property last week. Flusche was booked into the Muskogee jail and released on $5,000 bond.

Muskogee County prosecutors are waiting for the sheriff's report to determine what charges to consider. Veterinarians who checked on the cattle say many were old.

Flusche has not been charged.
