A man is behind bars after leading Tulsa Police on a chase and forcing a Tulsa elementary school into temporarily lockdown Wednesday morning.

Police say they tried to stop a man in a routine traffic stop, but he sped off. The driver stopped near Celia Clinton Elementary School at Pine and Harvard and jumped out.

The school went on lockdown while officers searched the area. A canine officer found the driver hiding under a temporary building and officers arrested him.

Two female juveniles were also in the car; officers were able to talk with them at the scene.
