Tulsa Police spent several hours early Tuesday morning searching for a suspect who led them on a lengthy chase.

Officers were responding to a stolen vehicle call just after four in west Tulsa when they spotted an SUV matching the description.They tried to pull the SUV over, the driver took off leading police through several neighborhoods.

The suspect finally ditched the vehicle on West 51st Street near Highway 97 and ran off into some nearby woods.

A police search was unable to locate the suspect.
