SEMINOLE, Okla. (AP) -- Fire has destroyed two businesses and damaged two others in Seminole.
More than two dozen firefighters battled the blaze early Sunday.
Fire Chief Ed Lemmings says firefighters also had to battle cold temperatures. Lemmings says some of the water froze immediately as firefighters worked in 12-degree temperatures.
No one was in the buildings when the fire was discovered at about 1:30 Sunday morning. No one was injured.
Officials aren't sure how much damage the buildings sustained.
The fire was reported by a police officer who spotted smoke coming from several buildings along Main Street.
Officials believe the fire started in a pet store. There were no animals in the store at the time. Smoke was also reported in a loan business and a barber shop.
Lemmings says firefighters worried most about the fire spreading to the paint store where there were hundreds of gallons of lacquer, thinner and paint.
The barber shop and paint store only sustained smoke and water damage.
