OSU's Willham Hall coming down

Thousands of OSU students called Willham Hall home for 40 years, but now, it's coming down. Demolition crews took a wrecking ball to the building Monday in front of a crowd of former residents.

With cheers and a few tears, students said good-bye to a piece of Cowboy history.

Former resident Geneva Roch: "It was kinda shocking, it was really sad, but its okay, it's good to see it go, it needed to get down."

The old-style dorms are making way for more modern quarters that provide apartment-like living. Many students wanted the added privacy.

The new hall will keep the Willham name. It should be complete by August 2006.
