Property tax protests are taking a bite out of the Tulsa Public School budget. Officials say cost-saving measures may be needed to cover part of the difference.

Property tax protests by telecommunications companies have risen the past few years. And that's tied up millions of tax dollars until the matter is settled by the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

A protest by SBC has left $6-million in question. A total of about $40-million in property values are in dispute right now.
