GALENA, Kan. (AP) _ A Kansas town near the Oklahoma border is trying to take advantage of historic Route 66.
Bricks that once lined the so-called ``Mother Road'' could soon be up for sale on the Internet.
The southwest Kansas town of Galena plans to put 20 bricks that were part of Route 66 on the Internet auction site e-Bay. The bricks could be up by the end of the week.
Two miles of Route 66 passed through Galena and seven blocks were paved with bricks, but later covered by asphalt. City workers have uncovered about one-thousand of those bricks and want to sell them.
About 385 miles of Route 66 pass through Oklahoma.
