A devastating house fire for a Creek County family this holiday weekend.

The victims are still trying to recover from the shock and are sorting through the rubble for their belongings.

The fire happened in the town of Kiefer, about 20 miles south of Tulsa. Their home is in ruins but their family is still intact. The fire crept through the sleeping household on Christmas Eve morning.

One young man was burnt by the first flames and he was able to wake three others and get them out of the house.

This is all that's left of Becky Grimes' home. She thinks the fire started with an electrical outlet at the back of the house and spread from there. Her children and their friend had to jump out of the window to escape. Most of the rooms are blackened and charred and they don't think they'll be able to salvage much. They're down to just the clothes on their backs.

Becky Grimes: "I think what's more devastating is the thought that you don't have anything, that you have nothing. I mean I went to brush my hair and I don't even have a brush."

Becky Grimes says she's very grateful to the Red Cross who's helping them during this tough time. And she says its a blessing no one was hurt.
