Year proves more deadly for Oklahoma motorists

UNDATED (AP) _ New figures from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol show 2004 was a deadly one for motorists on state roads and highways.
The patrol reports 742 people were killed statewide on Oklahoma roads through Christmas. That compares to 665 traffic deaths during the same period last year.
December is also proving to be more deadly this year than last. The O-H-P reports 48 people were killed in December this year through today. That compares to 39 deaths during the same time last year.
