SAN ANTONIO (AP) _ A second Oklahoma State football player has been suspended for next week's Alamo Bowl matchup against Ohio State.
Coach Les Miles said Thursday sophomore defensive tackle Brad Girtman did not make the trip with the Cowboys.
Miles stopped short of saying that Girtman was finished at OSU, telling the Tulsa World that his long-term status with the team would be determined after the Alamo Bowl. Miles refused to discuss further details.
On Wednesday, Miles announced that senior cornerback Darrent Williams was suspended and ineligible for the Alamo Bowl.
After playing in all 13 games as a freshman last year, Girtman was a starter in this season's opening-day victory at UCLA.
He sustained a sprained ankle against the Bruins and since has barely played.
