OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A buffalo is missing in Oklahoma City.

A decorative, fiberglass buffalo has disappeared from a street corner next to Bricktown Ballpark in downtown Oklahoma City and the owner believes it's been stolen.

The 260-pound buffalo is one of 100 adopted by sponsors as part of a project to benefit the Nature Conservancy of Oklahoma. The fiberglass buffaloes were decorated and placed in various locations around the city and are to begin a bus tour of 41 cities in the state.

The missing buffalo is sponsored by the Main Street Center through the state Commerce Department.
