OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The number of traffic deaths in Oklahoma continues to rise over the number at this time last year.

The Department of Public Safety says 726 people have been killed on the state's roads, up by 71 from the 655 traffic fatalities at this time last year.

And the number of traffic deaths in December is 36, up by six from the 30 who had died in auto accidents at this point in December last year.

The numbers do not yet include those killed in traffic accidents Sunday.
