STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State University is working with the Federal Aviation Administration to develop an aviation English program to improve flight safety.
OSU English Department head Carol Moder says the course will center on word pronunciation and listening skills. She says it will also help air traffic controllers and pilots develop better English skills.
The International Civil Aviation Organization says poor English skills are blamed for several deadly plane accidents in Central and South America.
