HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (AP) Southern California's Pete Carroll and Oklahoma's Bob Stoops sounded a lot alike when they met at a news conference in a Hollywood, Florida, casino.

Both teams have 12-0 records, are playing for the Bowl Championship Series national title and have offenses led by two Heisman Trophy finalists -- OU's Jason White and Adrian Peterson and USC's Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush.

Stoops said Thursday that both teams' defense also are similar in philosophies and how they play, which he added should make for a great game.

Both schools looked to be on a collision course to meet each other last season for the national title, but the BCS standings and OU's Big 12 title game loss kept the Sooners and Trojans in different bowls.

Carroll says meeting the Sooners this year doesn't feel that much different than not getting to play them last year, other than the Trojans will get to see what the outcome will be if they win.
