Holiday shoppers beware; purse snatchings are on the rise. Two happened within an hour of each other in Tulsa Tuesday.

The first one was outside the Gordmans at 18th and Yale; the second was at the Reasors at 41st and Yale.

In the first case, the thief distracted the victim before snatching her purse.

In the second case, the woman left her purse in her grocery cart while loading her groceries in her car and someone took it.
