OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Two transients have been arrested in the beating and burning death of a third transient, police said Monday.
Ulices Joaquin-Martinez, 23, and Carlos Dominguez-Martinez, 34, were being held on first-degree murder complaints, said Capt. Jeffrey Becker.
The name of the victim has not been released.
Officers responding to a reported assault Friday night found a fourth transient who said that he had been beaten and another man had been injured during a fight at a vacant building in southwestern Oklahoma City, Becker said.
Officers went to the building where they arrested Joaquin-Martinez when he tried to run, Becker said, and the burned body of the victim was found with what appeared to be blunt force trauma.
Dominguez-Martinez was arrested Sunday in northwest Oklahoma City, Becker said.
Detectives are still searching for a woman they believe may have witnessed the fight.
