There are signs of progress in this Vision Watch. The City of Tulsa began demolition Friday, clearing the way for the new downtown arena.
The first building to go was the old Letter Carrier's Union near 2nd and Denver. City permits were finalized Thursday morning, and Mayor Bill LaFortune signed the demolition contract Thursday afternoon.
The demolition will happen in three phases. The first consists of five sites, including the Gelco building and the Stowes warehouse.
