MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) _ David and Elizabeth Harris prepared chili and waited for David's two sisters and a brother-in-law to arrive the day before Thanksgiving.

Harold Wiseman, Joanne Wiseman and Mable Knackmus _ all of West Salem, Illinois _ were five minutes from the Harris home when their car collided with a semi-truck carrying 11-thousand pounds of frozen turkeys.

Their 1993 Oldsmobile failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Oklahoma 10 and U-S 62 just after 6 p-m Wednesday.

Elizabeth Harris says she and her husband started to get worried when they didn't hear from their family at about 9 Wednesday night.

By 11 that night they knew Knackmus and the Wisemans had been killed.

David and Elizabeth Harris remain puzzled about the cause of the accident.

Elizabeth Harris says Wiseman is usually a very alert driver.
