Tulsa Police detectives have turned up more evidence in connection with the body parts found near I-244 and Garnett.

A human torso was found Friday night in the highway median but police say the bottom half of the body was missing.

Police have one suspect in custody and we now know a little bit more about him. The suspect is 51-year-old Alfredo Rodriquez. He was arrested near his home Saturday.

And police think that's where the fight that ended with one man brutally murdered got started. Rodriquez is in jail on suspicion of first degree murder. Police say this isn't the first time Rodriquez has been in trouble. He was arrested for a DUI once before.

Tulsa Police aren't releasing the name of the victim who's body was found alongside the highway. All we know is he's a 27-year-old white man from Bixby.

Police think this all started with a shooting Thursday night at Rodriquez's home an apartment near 6th and Lewis. They're still trying to figure out what started the conflict.

Officers searched two places Saturday in connection with the homicide. A field near Apache and 129th East Avenue turned up some more physical evidence. And they also searched an east Tulsa apartment complex for clues. The apartment was rented by a friend of Rodriquez.

Sgt Mike Huff, TPD: "We're searching for evidence in this apartment and we made an evidence recovery and we're proceeding on with the investigation."

If you have any information on this case, police ask that you call crimestoppers at 596-COPS.
